Colabsoft has just adopted MISRA C++ as its methodology for code control and safety in embedded systems for aeronautics, aerospace, automotive and other industrial sectors.
This adaptation involves acquiring validation tools developed by LDRA (www.ldra.com) to adapt code to the DO-178B/C, DO-278 and DO-254 standards.
In this way, we strengthen our capacity to develop tools for vehicles, aircraft, UAVs, satellites and other communications systems.

MISRA C (http://www.misra-cpp.com) is a set of recommendations or guidelines for software development in the C language, developed by MISRA (The Motor Industry Software Reliability Association). Its purpose is to provide portability, safety and reliability in source code for embedded software. It is accepted as a set of best practices in sectors such as automotive, rail, aerospace, telecommunications, medical equipment and others. There is also a set of guidelines for C++ known as MISRA C++. MISRA C is not an open standard; the guideline documents must be purchased.
MISRA-C:2012 contains 143 rules and 16 directives. Rules are classified as decidable and undecidable. Directives are classified as mandatory, required and advisory.

Continuous improvement, applying LEAN engineering methodology and acquiring the tools needed to provide customers with quality products are part of our philosophy, meeting standards and rigorously following the safety and confidentiality requirements imposed by regulations.
We keep working. We are part of the change.
