1. Purpose

This Cookie Policy forms an integral part of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy of www.iertec.com (hereafter the ‘Website’ or ‘Web Page’). Accessing and browsing the Website or using its services implies acceptance of the terms and conditions contained in the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, including this Cookie Policy.

To facilitate your browsing of the Website, its owner, with registered office at Avda. Innovación, 1, Edf. Singular, 11591 Guadalcacín (Cádiz), informs you that it uses cookies, data storage and retrieval devices (DARD), or other files with similar functionality (hereafter ‘cookies’).

To ensure that users have all the information necessary to browse correctly, we provide the following information explaining what cookies are, the types of cookies on our Website and how to configure or disable them.

2. What cookies are

Most websites currently use cookies, irrespective of the service they provide, storing a minimal amount of information about the user's use of or browsing within the Website.

A cookie can be defined as a small text file or widely used device downloaded to the user's terminal equipment when browsing web pages, to store data that can be updated and retrieved by the organisation responsible for installing it, facilitating browsing and the user experience.

As established in Article 30 of the GDPR, natural persons may be associated with online identifiers provided by their devices, applications, tools and protocols, such as internet protocol addresses, session identifiers in the form of cookies or other identifiers serving similar purposes. This may leave traces which, particularly when combined with unique identifiers and other data received by servers, can be used to create profiles of natural persons and identify them.

For this reason, the Website owner has a cookie policy consistent with applicable legislation.

As a general rule, where the installation and/or use of cookies involves processing personal data, whether first-party or third-party cookies, session or persistent cookies, the controller will provide the necessary information and obtain the user's prior informed consent to install and/or use them, except where strictly necessary cookies must be installed. Only cookies exclusively enabling communication between the user's equipment and the network, and strictly those used to provide a service requested by the user, are exempt from this consent. Examples of exemptions include ‘technical cookies’ (e.g. those needed to browse the platform or application itself), ‘personalisation or configuration cookies’ (e.g. enabling the page to recognise the user's language) and ‘security cookies’ (e.g. detecting repeated unsuccessful attempts to connect to a site).

3. Types, purposes and operation of cookies.

3.1. ACCORDING TO THE ORGANISATION MANAGING THEM:

First-party cookies

These are sent to your equipment from the Website owner's equipment or servers, from which we provide the service you request.

Third-party cookies

These are sent to your equipment from equipment or a domain managed not by us, but by another collaborating organisation or partner. Examples include those used by social networks or external content such as Google.

3.2. ACCORDING TO HOW LONG THEY REMAIN ACTIVE:

Session cookies

These are temporary cookies that remain in your browser's cookie file until you leave the website, so none are recorded on your computer's hard drive. Information obtained through these cookies is used to analyse website traffic patterns. Over time, this enables us to provide a better experience, improve content and make it easier to use.

Persistent cookies

These are stored on the hard drive and our Website reads them each time you visit again. A permanent website has a specific expiry date. The cookie stops functioning after that date. We generally use these cookies to facilitate purchasing and registration services.

3.3 ACCORDING TO THEIR PURPOSE:

Technical cookies

These are necessary for browsing and the proper functioning of our Website. For example, they allow traffic and data communications to be controlled, restricted areas to be accessed, an order's purchasing process to be completed, security elements to be used, content to be stored for sharing videos, or content to be shared through social networks.

Personalisation cookies

These enable you to access the service with predefined characteristics based on criteria such as language or the type of browser used to access the service.

Analytics cookies

These allow us to quantify user numbers and measure and statistically analyse how users use the services provided. Your browsing on our Website is analysed to improve the range of products and services we offer.

Advertising cookies

These enable the most effective possible management of advertising spaces that may be included on our Website.

Behavioural advertising cookies

These cookies store information about users' behaviour obtained through continuous observation. They enable us to understand internet browsing habits and display advertising related to your browsing profile.

Social cookies

Add-on cookies for sharing social content: so-called plugins that allow content to be shared on social networks.

6. What happens if cookies are disabled

If you reject cookies, you can continue using our Website, but some services and/or links may stop working, it may not be possible to start or maintain an interactive session with the Website's services, and we will be unable to obtain valuable information from you to offer content suited to your interests and enable quick, easy access to information that interests you.

The Website owner accepts no liability for legal or technical problems caused by any user's failure to follow the recommendations included. This communication is provided for users' information and use and must therefore not be used for any other purpose.

We also inform you that we cannot be held responsible for the content and accuracy of the third parties' privacy policies included in this Cookie Policy.

7. Changes to the Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy is version 2.0 and has been in force since 1 OCTOBER 2020. The Website owner may modify it, either to incorporate new cookies needed for new content offered, or because legislative or regulatory requirements necessitate changes. Users are therefore advised to consult it periodically. The Website may also inform users personally and in advance of planned changes to this policy before they take effect, wherever technically and reasonably possible.

8. Exercising rights in relation to cookies

You can learn about and exercise your personal data protection rights by accessing this Website's Privacy Policy. If you have questions about this Cookie Policy, you can contact us.

9. Cookies used on this website and own analytics (2026 update)

Beyond the general text above, the website www.iertec.com currently uses a single own cookie for analytics consent, iertec_consent (values "accepted" or "rejected"), lasting 180 days. The cookie notice lets you accept, reject or withdraw this consent at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

If you accept, IERTEC records, for each visit to a public page, your IP address together with the page visited, the language and the date, solely to build internal site-usage statistics. This data is kept for a maximum of 180 days and is automatically deleted afterwards; it is only reviewed in a private dashboard accessible to authorised IERTEC staff and is never shared with or transferred to third parties. If you reject consent, or do not respond, none of these visits are recorded.

The site also uses a technical session cookie for the private administration panel, strictly necessary for it to function and exempt from consent; it does not affect visitors to the public site.

This section describes the processing actually implemented on the site. In case of any discrepancy with the general text above (version 2.0, in force since October 2020), this more recent section prevails.
